Anton Kaldal Ágústsson

Short biography of Tonik : Tonik is Anton Kaldal Ágústsson, who creates an evolving mixture of house and halfstep soundscapes with an organic contrast; deep, atmospheric and lush. With his Snapshots series he is exploring and breaking up the various structures of the electronic spectrum while maintaining a strong signature sound.

In 2011, Tonik supported Dirty Beaches on Rewire Festival, Blamstrain on Todays Art session and Ghostigital on Iceland Airwaves showcase festival.

Recent Tonik livesets have featured vocalist Hörður Már Bjarnason and cellist Þórður Hermannsson to help flesh out the experience . An EP and an album are due in 2014.
